Green Beans and Potatoes

  • 2 lbs String Beans
  • 8 Small Potatoes
  • 8 slices of Bacon
  • 3- ½ Cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Cup Onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1- ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsps Black Pepper
  1. Rinse the string beans and pop into half then set aside.
  2. Rinse the potatoes and cut into quarters.
  3. In a frying pan, fry the bacon for 7 minutes or until crispy. Remove and set aside until later.
  4. In a separate pan add the beans, broth and water and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes add the onion garlic powder, salt and pepper then cover and cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
  6. After 30 minutes add the potatoes and bacon. Cover and cook for 1 hour stirring occasionally.
