Chocolate cream puffs

  • Super Easy Chocolate Cream Puffs
  • These Chocolate Cream Puffs are sooooo easy that a beginner can make them. You can impress your family and friends with this amazing dessert.

  • Ingredients
  • puffs
  • 1/2 c 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • chocolate cream
  • 5.85 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 c cold milk
  • powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 c sour cream
  1. Instructions

  3. preheat oven to 375 degrees
  4. in a med bowl combine flour, sugar and cocoa powder
  5. melt butter over med heat in a med saucepan
  6. add water and bring to a rolling boil
  7. stir in the flour mixture and continue to stir
  8. dough will become a ball but keep stirring over heat for 1 min
  9. pour dough into the large bowl of a mixer
  10. turn on the mixer and beat for 2-3 min on medium speed and allowing dough to cool slightly
  11. add eggs one at a time as you continue to beat dough
  12. dough will become creamy and smooth
  13. line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop dough onto baking sheet by the tablespoonful 1 inch apart
  14. bake for 20 minutes
  15. allow to cool
  16. Filling
  17. in a large bowl whisk together pudding mix and milk until smooth
  18. whisk in the sour cream until smooth
  19. place in the refrigerator for 1 hour
  20. building the cream puffs
  21. *there are two methods
  22. Method 1
  23. slice puffs in half and fill with pudding
  24. dust the top with powdered sugar
  25. Method 2
  26. place pudding mixture into a pastry bag with a pointy tip
  27. stick the tip carefully into the puff and fill with pudding
  28. dust the top is powdered sugar
