  • 2 1/2 c. ap flour
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 12 T. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 c. crisco
  • 1/4 c. vodka
  • 1/4 c. water
  1. Process 1 1/2 c. flour, salt and sugar 3 pulses. Add butter and crisco; run processor for approximately 15 seconds, or until dough is coming together in a ball. Scrape sides with spatula and redistribute mixture evenly. Add remaining 1 c. flour and pulse 6 times. Empty mixture into a bowl. Sprinkle vodka and water over the mixture. Fold with spatula until the dough is slightly tacky and sticks together. Divide into 2 balls and flatten into discs. Wrap in plastic and rest in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Can be stored in refrigerator several days or in freezer several months.
